Okay, I went to Ivy for a microdermabrasion
facial today. She is unbelievable. My husband said I look ten

My first hint that Ivy did something unique
to other estheticians was the evidence of material removed from
my outer layer of skin: the dead skin cells and exfoliation
of acne scaring had collected in the microdermabrasion "wand"
looking like the remains of something accumulated in a vacuum
cleaner bag. I was delighted to know the outer layer of skin
– with all of its middle-aged wrinkling and discoloration
of skin – was no longer part of my epidermis.
My husband, a physician, had made it clear that botox injections
and chemical peels were not an option given the invasive nature
of the treatment: he agreed the microdermabrasion and light
treatment (photorejuvenation) was a natural-method to rejuvenate
the skin. I wasn't looking for a miracle. I was looking for
